It has been another successful summer season thanks to all the artists who kept the shelves full. We have many new members and it is wonderful to see such variety and talent coming from our own Robson Valley. Keep up the good work!

The Whistle Stop Gallery has a new project in the works. We have received a $5000 grant from BC Lottery Corp to teach students to paint a mural. The mural will be painted this spring. Anyone interested in teaching the students and helping design a mural please contact the Gallery at 569-8891.

Through the efforts of our dedicated Hockeyville Committee we have painted the town blue – now let’s paint it beautiful!

Margaret Griffiths is organizing a series of workshops and classes this winter. From arts and crafts to taxes and finance – please call the Gallery if you are interested in conducting or taking a class. If you have ideas for a class or supplies to donate, these would be welcome too!

New faces at the Gallery this winter - as we say goodbye to our summer student and welcome some part time helpers to keep the Gallery running smoothly this winter.

Excellence in friendly customer service is our goal. We will be offering free Christmas Gift wrapping and going above and beyond to make the Gallery experience one to remember.

We wish to thank Cory Lamming, our summer student who has helped keep the Gallery shining this summer.

We still need more artist biographies.  Check out our website and if yours is missing we need it!  Drop into the Gallery for an informal interview or email us at whistlestopgallery@telus.net
Our web site is online and looking good. Cory has been busy adding artist bios and many more pictures. If you have your own website, be sure to give us the address so that we can link it to our site.

Special thanks go again this year to Mr. Glen Frear whose unfailing hard work and dedication to the Gallery is a large part of its present success.  Thank you too to Sheilagh Foster, our Society Chair and all the members of our executive – we couldn’t do it without you!

Thank You

Congratulations and many thanks to all

It is with extreme regret that we have had to say goodbye to one of our members this summer. Susan Demaine, crafter and Society Director, passed away in August. A talented and energetic lady who helped create the look the Gallery has today -among other accomplishments too numerous to list. She will be greatly missed.
